Job summary

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) seeks a GIS Project Manager to lead GIS projects from our New England offices on a hybrid schedule, including CT/MA/RI. You’ll oversee projects, mentor staff and coordinate with clients across transportation, municipal, energy, and federal work.

Requirements: 8+ years GIS with 4+ years PM, BS in GIS/Geography/Planning, ArcGIS Pro/Online/Enterprise. Master’s and GISP preferred. We offer strong benefits and a flexible hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional GIS experience, including at least 4 years of project management.
• BS in GIS, Geography, Planning, Survey Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Master's degree preferred and may substitute for 1–2 years of experience.
• GISP certification preferred.
• Extensive experience with Esri ArcGIS Platform (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise).
• Experience leading GIS projects and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide project oversight on GIS projects, ensuring on-time delivery and budget compliance.
• Serve as Project Manager on GIS pursuits, guiding technical delivery.
• Support business development through proposals and client relationship building.
• Lead development and mentorship of GIS staff with technical direction.
• Represent VHB at conferences and deliver technical presentations.
• Configure web applications using ArcGIS Online/Portal and related tools.
