Job summary
VHB is seeking a GIS Project Manager to join our growing team in New England. The successful candidate will manage GIS projects across transportation, state DOTs, municipalities, energy, and federal agencies, with hybrid work options from MA, RI, or CT offices.
The role requires hands-on leadership, mentoring of junior GIS staff, and proficiency in Esri's ArcGIS suite and database management. You will contribute to proposals, lead technical delivery, and represent VHB at industry events.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of GIS experience with at least 4 years in PM.
- BS in GIS, Geography, Planning, CS or related field; master's preferred.
- GISP certification preferred; strong Esri tooling proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide project oversight to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Lead GIS pursuits and contribute to technical delivery.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical direction.
- Support business development and client relationship activities.
- Develop scopes of work and budget estimates for proposals.
- Perform QA on work products and ensure quality standards.
