Job summary

VHB is seeking a GIS Project Manager to join our growing GIS team in New England. The ideal candidate will lead projects, mentor junior staff, and work in a hybrid schedule from one of our MA, Providence RI, or CT offices.

Candidates should be proficient in Esri software and database management, delivering complex GIS solutions for transportation, municipal, energy, institutional, real estate, and federal clients.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional GIS experience, including at least 4 years in project management.
• BS in GIS, Geography, Planning, Survey Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred; may substitute for 1-2 years' experience.
• GISP certification preferred.
• Extensive experience with Esri ArcGIS Platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide project oversight on GIS projects, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget.
• Serve as Project Manager on GIS pursuits and guide technical delivery.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and assisting proposals.
• Lead development and mentorship of GIS staff.
• Represent VHB at industry conferences and deliver technical presentations.
• Configure web applications using Esri ArcGIS Online/Portal tools.
• Write scopes of work and develop budget estimates for proposals.
• Perform quality control on work products.
