Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) seeks a Project Engineer to lead geotechnical and civil projects in the Greenville, SC region. The role requires hands-on project management, technical leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, manage client relationships, and ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget goals across municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in South Carolina or reciprocity.
• Minimum 5-12 years geotechnical engineering and/or materials testing with 3+ years supervisory.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design and construction.
• Knowledge of geosynthetics.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and field staff.
• Delegate tasks and oversee project team to ensure accuracy.
• Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance and sampling.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Communicate project updates to clients clearly and concisely.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and growth.
• Monitor project financials and performance metrics.
