Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to lead geotechnical and civil engineering projects in the Greenville/SC area.

The successful candidate will oversee planning, execution, and closure of complex assignments, with focus on site development, foundations, earthwork, and pavements. The role requires hands-on project engineering experience, strong leadership, and ability to deliver high-quality solutions for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and PE licensure.
• Minimum 5–12 years in geotechnical engineering with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design, geosynthetics, and construction requirements.
• Ability to interpret codes and standards (ASTM, IBC).
• Experience with site investigations, field data collection, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance, drilling oversight, sampling, and soils testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee project teams to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Manage client communications and maintain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee design reviews, calculations, and drawings for geotechnical and civil projects.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and resource forecasts; monitor progress and budgets.
• Collaborate across departments and manage suppliers and vendors.
