Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to lead geotechnical, environmental, and civil engineering projects in our Greenville/SC-area office. The role requires hands-on project engineering, leadership experience, and a track record of delivering complex assignments from concept to completion.

The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering degree, is a licensed PE (SC) or eligible for reciprocity, and has 5–12 years of geotechnical/materials testing experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina or ability to obtain reciprocity where firm operates.
• 5–12 years of geotechnical engineering and/or materials testing experience with 3+ years in supervision.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements.
• Knowledge of geosynthetics.
• Apply advanced civil/geotechnical engineering principles to project design and analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports, specifications, drawings, and documentation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GeoStudio, gINT, Tablogs.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and field staff.
• Oversee project team tasks ensuring accuracy and compliance with requirements.
• Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance and drilling oversight; assign soils lab testing.
• Communicate project updates and technical findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Review designs, calculations, and drawings for quality and compliance.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth delivery.
• Support proposals, scopes of work, and contract documents.
