Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Geotechnical and Tunneling Team. The role sits at multiple New England offices including Boston, MA, with extensive field and design responsibilities in soils, rock, and underground structures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical or Tunneling focus.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and technical writing ability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and coordinate field observations and inspections of subsurface investigations.
  • Design and analyze geotechnical structures for bridges, buildings, tunnels, and walls.
  • Prepare memoranda, reports, and design documents.
  • Coordinate geotechnical field work and construction observation.
  • Assist leaders in reports and contract documents.
  • Collaborate with disciplines and project partners.
  • Develop geotechnical work in New England and other areas.
  • Ensure data collection and analysis methods are well defined and quality-controlled.
  • Maintain data integrity and reporting standards.
