Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical and Tunneling Team. The role supports field observation, design, and reporting for bridges, buildings, tunnels, and underground structures across New England.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, prepare technical memoranda, and ensure QA/QC. Travel to various offices is expected; Massachusetts/New England projects are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical/tunneling focus.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related disciplines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GeoSlope, Plaxis, LPILE, GROUP, GRLWEAP, SEEP/W).
• Willingness to travel and perform field work.

Responsibilities

• Perform/coordinate field observation and special inspection of subsurface investigations in soils and rock.
• Perform geotechnical design and analyses for bridges, buildings, tunnels, and underground structures.
• Prepare geotechnical memoranda, data reports and design reports.
• Coordinate field inspection of geotechnical construction.
• Assist in reports and contract documents.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and project partners.
• Develop geotechnical work in New England and other areas.
• Maintain quality control and accurate measurements/reporting.
