Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its Geotechnical and Tunneling Team in a role that will support projects across New England and beyond. The position can sit in multiple offices including Glastonbury, MA, Shelton, CT, or Boston, MA, with travel to field sites as required.

Responsibilities include coordinating field observations, performing geotechnical design for bridges and tunnels, drafting reports, and maintaining strict quality control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical or tunneling focus.
  • 5–7 years of relevant geotechnical experience.
  • Knowledge of related disciplines (Structures, Civil, Environmental).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong technical writing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform/coordinate field observations and special inspections of subsurface investigations.
  • Design and analyze geotechnical aspects for bridges, tunnels, and underground structures.
  • Prepare memoranda, data and design reports; ensure QC and accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and project partners; travel as needed.
