Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead geotechnical investigations and guide complex projects for municipal, industrial, residential, and commercial clients in the southeastern U.S. This role emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration within a growing geotechnical group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with geotechnical focus (Masters preferred).
• 6–8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in SC or NC, with ability to become licensed in additional southeastern states.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design, subsurface geology, soil and rock mechanics.
• Knowledge of geosynthetics and geotechnical testing procedures.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for site meetings and client development within the southeastern US.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and interpretation of analytical data for diverse projects.
• Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance, drilling oversight, sampling, and lab testing oversight.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and client presentations; ensure deliverable quality.
• Manage multiple projects for quality, budget, and schedule compliance.
• Direct field operations, subcontractor oversight, drilling, sampling, and logging.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to staff development.
