BUNNELL LAMMONS ENGINEERING is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our geotechnical group in the Southeast U.S. You will lead complex projects, provide technical expertise, and mentor staff to deliver high-quality geotechnical solutions for municipal, industrial, residential, and commercial projects.

This role emphasizes project leadership, field investigations, and collaboration across disciplines, with travel up to 10% and a commitment to safety, regulations, and client success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with geotechnical focus; Masters preferred.
• 6–8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in SC or NC; ability to licensure in additional southeastern states within six months.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design, construction requirements, and geosynthetics.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of time for site meetings and client development in the southeastern US.
• Strong knowledge of regulations, subsurface geology, soil/rock mechanics, hydrogeology, and site assessment.
• Experience with field investigation techniques (drilling, sampling, logging).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proven leadership and mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert interpretation of analytical data for diverse projects.
• Lead geotechnical investigations: site reconnaissance, drilling oversight, sampling, and field data collection.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and client presentations.
• Ensure technical accuracy and quality of deliverables.
• Direct complex environmental investigations and remediation projects.
• Manage multiple projects with budgets and schedules.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee project staffing.
