BUNNELL LAMMONS ENGINEERING is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the Geotechnical Group. You will lead complex projects, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior staff while supporting long-term client relationships.

The role centers on geotechnical site investigations, design, and project management within a dynamic consulting environment; collaboration across disciplines is essential, with up to 10% travel in the southeastern US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a geotechnical focus; a master's degree is preferred.
• 6–8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina or North Carolina, with eligibility to license in additional southeastern states within six months.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical design, field investigations, and geosynthetics.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for site meetings and client development in the southeastern US.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead projects and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert interpretation of analytical data for a wide variety of projects.
• Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance, drilling oversight, sampling, and field data collection.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and presentations for clients and regulators.
• Manage multiple projects, budgets, and schedules with quality deliverables.
• Direct field operations including subcontractor oversight, drilling, sampling, and logging.
• Mentor junior staff and foster technical development.
• Support client relationships and business development efforts.
