Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead our geotechnical group in the Southeast. The role emphasizes managing complex projects, providing technical direction, and mentoring junior staff across construction materials and geotechnical services.

Ideal candidates have a PE, 6–8 years of experience, and strong knowledge of site assessment, soils testing, and regulatory guidelines. Travel up to 10% may be required in the SE US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a geotechnical focus.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 6–8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Licensed PE in SC or NC, with ability to license in additional southeastern states within six months.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert interpretation of analytical data for a variety of projects.
• Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance, drilling oversight, sampling, and field data collection.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and presentations for clients and regulators.
• Ensure technical accuracy and quality in deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and lead project teams.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and client communications.
