Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. seeks a Senior Engineer to lead geotechnical projects, mentor junior staff, and advance our Construction Materials Testing (CMT) capabilities within the Geotechnical Group.

You will manage complex site investigations, provide expert data interpretation, and support long-term client relationships across municipal, industrial, residential, and commercial projects in the southeastern US. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a geotechnical focus.
• 6–8 years of relevant professional experience.
• PE license in SC or NC with ability to obtain licensure in additional southeastern states within six months.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements.
• Experience with field investigation techniques (drilling, sampling, logging).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert interpretation of geotechnical data for diverse projects.
• Lead site investigations including drilling oversight, sampling, and field data collection.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for clients and regulators.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables across multiple projects.
• Mentor junior staff and foster professional growth.
• Collaborate across geotechnical and environmental disciplines.
