X4 Engineering in Houston, TX, is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to own technical delivery across residential, commercial, TxDOT, municipal, and industrial projects.

The role requires leading field investigations, deep foundation design, reports, client relationships, and mentoring staff, with Texas PE and 5+ years experience; you will work on-site with a strong regional reputation.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Active Texas PE license required.
• 5+ years of geotechnical experience, Gulf Coast preferred.

Mansioni

• Plan and oversee geotechnical field investigations (borings, CPT, piezometers, in-situ testing).
• Lead engineering analysis: shallow and deep foundation design, settlement, slope stability, and expansive soils.
• Prepare and seal geotechnical investigation reports, pavement design recommendations, and engineering correspondence.
• Act as engineer of record on projects requiring a Texas PE seal.
• Own client relationships and serve as the primary technical contact on assigned projects.
• Coordinate with field technicians, drillers, and lab staff to keep projects on schedule and on spec.
• Contribute to proposals, scoping, and fee estimation for new work.
• Mentor junior engineers and EITs.
• Liaise directly with regulatory and public agencies as needed.
