Quartet ENG in Houston, TX, seeks a Geotechnical Project Engineer to lead investigations from proposal to final report for transportation, public works, and commercial projects.

You will scope and price work, direct field and lab programs, perform analyses, author sealed reports, and mentor staff while maintaining client relationships and coordinating with design teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical focus from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive geotechnical experience, including at least 2 years managing projects, budgets and client relationships.
• Working knowledge of Texas geology and expansive clay behavior and local geotechnical standards.
• Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software such as gINT, LPILE, GROUP, SHAFT, APILE, Slide or SLOPE/W, Settle3, and TxDOT FPS, plus AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to produce sealed reports.
• Valid Texas driver's license, ability to travel to project sites and work outdoors as needed.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Lead geotechnical projects from proposal through final report and closeout.
• Plan subsurface exploration programs and coordinate field/lab work.
• Direct and review laboratory testing and interpret results.
• Perform bearing capacity, settlement, and foundation analyses.
• Develop pavement designs per TxDOT FPS and AASHTO methods.
• Author, review, and seal geotechnical reports and memos.
• Mentor staff engineers and technicians; support licensure.
• Maintain client relationships and support BD efforts.
