City of Houston is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Engineering/Geotechnical & Environmental to oversee complex environmental and geotechnical projects in construction. This role includes field investigations, analyses, and report preparation to ensure compliance with city and federal standards.

The position requires strong leadership, coordination with consultants, and the ability to manage multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects from proposals to final reporting.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Project Management or a closely related field.
• Six (6) years of experience in construction, construction inspection, design, landscape design, geo-technical, environmental or related field.
• Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience; related professional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsabilidades

• Split time between field assignments and office assignments.
• Lead portions of technical project work from scope through final deliverables under supervision.
• Apply knowledge to execute project work and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with design and environmental consultants to meet city and federal standards.
• Collaborate with Supervising Engineers on lifecycle of environmental reviews and reporting.
• Analyze environmental data and test results to develop practical field solutions.
• Act as lead responder for environmental emergencies or material failures during construction.
• Brief upper management on project status and evaluate vendor proposals.
• Identify and champion new technologies to improve safety and operations.
