Job summary

Total Energy Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Generator Service Technician based in the Jackson–Meridian, Mississippi area. This field-based role involves diagnosing complex generator issues, performing preventive maintenance, and servicing commercial and industrial diesel and natural gas generators.

Expect after-hours on-call rotation and travel within the regional territory. Ideal candidates will have strong electrical/mechanical skills, proficiency with generator diagnostic software,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5–10 years of hands-on generator technician experience, preferably servicing commercial/industrial gensets.
• Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to connect to generator controllers using manufacturer software.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, install, and service diesel and natural gas generator systems.
• Diagnose controllers, engine management, ATS, and related components.
• Use manufacturer software to diagnose faults and retrieve histories.
• Read electrical schematics and service manuals.
• Manage daily service calls and complete work with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance, load-bank tests, startups, and emergency repairs.
• Complete precise electronic service reports with readings and photos.
• Travel within assigned territory to service customers.
