Job summary

Mississippi Power Co is seeking a dedicated Service Technician for Commercial Generators in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of generator and power distribution equipment, providing 24x7 on-call support and ensuring customer satisfaction.

This position requires a minimum of a High School diploma and extensive technical experience in servicing generator systems of various sizes. We expect proficient communication skills and the ability to work independently in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field experience servicing generator systems (Level II).
• 6+ years for Level III, extensive experience with 500KW+ units.
• 10+ years for Level IV, expert in preventative maintenance and advanced controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on generator systems.
• Provide technical support and customer service.
• Use electronic and electrical test equipment as necessary.

Skills

Expert troubleshooting skills

Ability to read and interpret technical documents

Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems

Knowledge of Automatic Transfer Systems

Ability to maintain a professional appearance

Education

High School diploma or GED equivalent
