  • Diagnose generator controllers, engine control systems, voltage regulators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and other electrical and mechanical components.

  • Utilize manufacturer-specific diagnostic and communication software to connect to generator controllers, retrieve fault histories, monitor operating parameters, and perform authorized troubleshooting.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical service manuals.

  • Manage daily service calls, coordinate customer visits, and complete assigned work without constant supervision.

  • Follow company safety procedures and applicable industry standards.

  • Travel throughout the assigned service territory as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong time management, planning, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accountability, and follow-through.

  • Ability to effectively manage changing priorities, service calls, and frequent interruptions.

  • Dependable availability for after-hours emergency callouts.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to travel locally and work in demanding field environments.

  • Must be based in or reasonably close to the Jackson–Meridian, Mississippi service area.

Preferred Qualifications

The right candidate will be technically strong, organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working remotely while maintaining consistent communication with management and customers.

This position is ideal for an experienced technician who takes pride in their work, demonstrates strong accountability, and can be trusted to independently manage a field service territory.

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a field-based position with frequent travel throughout the assigned service territory. Regular hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed. Participation in the company's after-hours on-call rotation is required and may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical demands may range from moderate to extreme depending on the service assignment and may include prolonged standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling equipment, supplies, and materials.
