Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is hiring a Generator Field Service Technician to service and maintain standby generators in the field across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. You’ll perform maintenance, inspections, tests, and commissioning while ensuring safety and clear communication with customers.

The role requires some technical school training or equivalent experience, 3+ years in generator work, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel locally in IPS service

Qualifications

• Technical school or equivalent training in generators and electric power.
• 3+ years of generator repair/maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; able to obtain DOT medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine-driven standby generators in the field.
• Perform preventative maintenance: oil, filters, coolant checks, spark plugs.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical systems; perform testing and commissioning.
• Move, lift, and work with equipment; travel in company vehicle within local counties.
