Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) in Florida is seeking a Generator Field Service Technician to service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine-driven standby generators for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and documentation, with company vehicle travel to local sites. A training program supports growth and safety is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Technical school or related program is preferred and generators, diesel, power gen, electric power or substation tech exposure is beneficial.
• Some experience in repair or maintenance of generators is preferred or an equivalent education/experience combination.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong communication/customer service skills are essential.
• Must be able to drive with a valid, unrestricted license and have a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine-driven standby generators in the field.
• Perform preventative maintenance (oil/filter changes, spark plugs, coolant checks, filters).
• Conduct inspections, testing (load bank, ATS), troubleshooting, and commissioning/startups.
• Complete reports and maintain documentation; communicate issues and resolutions to customers.
• Travel locally in a company vehicle; manage vehicle inventory and safety maintenance.
