Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Generator Field Service Technician to service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine-driven standby generators in the field for residential, commercial, and industrial customers to keep power on.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning, while documenting reports and traveling safely in a company vehicle across local counties.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a technical school is desirable for generators, diesel power, or related electrical tech.
• Some experience in repair or maintenance of generators is preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• Mechanical aptitude will be valued in lieu of formal generator schooling.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain diesel- and gas-engine standby generators in the field.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot failures, diagnose issues, and communicate results to customers.
