Job summary

Arizona Public Service, the state's largest energy provider, seeks a Generation Engineer to drive multi-disciplinary capital projects with in-house and 3rd party teams. You will define scopes, schedules, and costs, and present justified investments for the 10-year plan.

You will work across operations, maintenance and planning, applying advanced engineering methods to solve complex reliability issues and support strategic improvements for the Generation fleet.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Two years of engineering-related experience for Engineer II.
• Five years of engineering-related experience for Engineer III.
• Eight years of engineering-related experience for Engineer Senior.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize design of plant retrofit projects, with scopes, schedules, and costs.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and planning teams to justify capital projects.
• Apply advanced engineering methods to assess performance and address operational challenges.
• Create ten-year forecasts for critical systems across the Generation fleet.
• Coordinate review of analyses, prepare scopes, cost estimates, and technical reviews.
