Job summary

Arizona Public Service Company seeks a Director of Capital Projects Generation in Generation Engineering to lead high‑impact retrofit and replacement projects across the non-nuclear fleet. Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading large-scale capital projects in an engineering or power generation environment.
• In-depth knowledge of project management principles, regulatory standards, and engineering best practices.
• Proven leadership skills, with a strong ability to drive accountability, mentor teams, and champion growth and change initiatives.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 14 years in lieu of degree; 5 years supervisory/management.

Responsibilities

• Influences and sets direction of capital projects within the non-nuclear generation fleet. Directs all stages of planning, engineering, and construction to successfully execute retrofit projects.
• Develops and manages fleet-wide goals; implements strategies and objectives to support reliable and cost-effective service.
• Plans, evaluates, and recommends strategies, programs, policies and processes aligning with overall objectives.
• Oversees multiple project management and contract teams; coaches and develops a high-performing team.
• Manages department and project budgets; tracks costs and deviations; initiates corrective actions.
