Job summary

Arizona Public Service is seeking a Director of Capital Projects in the Generation Engineering division. You will lead a portfolio of capital replacement and retrofit projects for the non-nuclear generation fleet, guiding them from concept through closure while ensuring technical, budgetary and regulatory alignment.

Ideal candidates bring extensive project management expertise, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering large-scale, high-impact projects in a regulated energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Project Management or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, construction management, project management, or related field.
• 5 years in supervisory/management roles.
• In lieu of bachelor’s, 14 years combination of college coursework and related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse team of project managers, engineers and technical professionals.
• Direct design, engineering support and project management to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Oversee budget allocation, contract compliance, and quality assurance.
• Drive change management, coaching and development across project teams.
