Job summary

Arizona Public Service Company seeks a Generation Engineer to apply in-depth technical and plant knowledge to complex capital projects. You will work with operations, maintenance and planning to justify retrofits through economic analysis and formal presentations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and progressive experience in engineering-related positions, with emphasis on technical analysis, planning, and cross-functional collaboration across APS Generation teams.

Qualifications

• A four-year Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related applied science from an ABET accredited institution, an IEA recognized institution or an ABET MRA.
• Plus two years working experience in engineering-related positions.
• Plus five years working experience in engineering-related positions.
• Plus eight years working experience in engineering-related positions.

Responsibilities

• Present engineering recommendations and drive decisions that affect Generation performance.
• Influence long-term Generation goals through project development.
• Develop engineering expertise in one or more areas with deep knowledge in related fields.
• Coordinate with internal customers and management to present technical data and design decisions.
• Define goals and work within processes to solve problems with stakeholder engagement.
