Travelers in Indianapolis is seeking a Major Case Specialist, General Liability, to investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate, and resolve highly complex claims. You will act as a technical resource for claims professionals, customers, and partners, coordinating with legal, underwriting and other teams to drive favorable outcomes.

The role requires strong claims management, litigation experience, and exceptional communication skills, with travel as needed and a focus on regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five+ years of complex bodily injury claim and litigation experience.
• Active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Experience with claims management software and enterprise tech.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage and oversee an active caseload of complex claims from inception to resolution.
• Conduct detailed investigations to gather evidence and assess liability.
• Assess coverage, determine damages, and establish reserves.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys.
• Coordinate with legal, underwriting and other departments.
• Prepare reports on claim status and trends for management.
