Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Technical Specialist, General Liability to manage and investigate moderate complexity injury, or property damage claims from first notice of loss through resolution. You will determine coverage, evaluate liability, establish reserves and issue timely payments within authority.

You will mentor Claim Reps and collaborate with Counsel on litigation strategies. You will also leverage your expertise with claims management systems and Microsoft Office,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Two years of bodily injury liability or property damage claim experience.
• Two years of litigation claim experience.
• Active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Strong knowledge of insurance principles and policy language.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage active caseloads of injury/property damage claims from first notice to resolution.
• Investigate information by contacting relevant parties to determine coverage and liability.
• Provide timely and professional communication to customers, counsel, and vendors.
• Coordinate resources to conduct comprehensive claim investigations and evaluations.
• Negotiate settlements within authority and issue payments timely.
• Support litigation management strategies with Counsel as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in claim management systems.
