Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate in the US Government & Infrastructure practice. You will support day-to-day general ledger, accounts payable, and expense functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulations, and aiding audits.

The role emphasizes collaboration across finance teams and readiness for Costpoint enhancements. You will report to the G&I General Ledger and the Accounts Payable & Expense Assistant Directors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of related accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Deltek Costpoint required.
• Experience with government contracting.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger: maintain ledger structures and configurations aligned with system design and reporting.
• Ensure GAAP/FAR/CAS compliance and proper supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review journal entries; reconcile and analyze variances.
• Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.
• Assist internal/external audits with schedules and documentation.
• Collaborate with finance teams to promote consistent accounting treatment.
