Job summary

EY in the United States’ Government & Infrastructure (G&I) practice seeks a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support day-to-day GL, AP and expense processes. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with period-end close and audits, collaborating with multiple finance teams to ensure compliant, timely reporting.

The role requires 4–6 years of related accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, and eligibility for security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of 4–6 years of related accounting experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Deltek Costpoint experience required
• Experience with government contracting and GAAP/financial close processes
• Proficient in Excel with pivot tables, complex formulas and lookups

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and configurations
• Ensure GAAP, FAR, CAS and EY policies compliance
• Review and prepare journal entries with supporting documentation
• Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
• Support period-end close activities and audits
• Process accounts payable vouchers and expense reports
• Maintain vendor master records and AP subledger
• Collaborate with Contracts, Subcontracts, Purchasing and Compliance teams
