Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate in the US to support daily GL, AP and expense processes. You’ll prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and assist with period-end closes, while promoting compliance with policies and internal controls.

You will collaborate with finance teams, leverage Copilot and other AI tools to improve efficiency and assurance, and support audits and ad hoc analyses as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of related accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Deltek Costpoint experience required.
• Experience with government contracting.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lookups).

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and configurations.
• Ensure GAAP/FAR/CAS compliance and EY policies.
• Review journal entries and supporting docs.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
• Support month‑end/quarter/end close activities.
• Prepare schedules for audits and respond to requests.
• Process AP vouchers and expense reports with proper documentation.
• Collaborate with Contracts Management, Subcontracts, Buying, and Compliance.
