Job summary

EY in the USLI Government & Infrastructure practice is seeking a General Ledger/Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support day-to-day GL, AP and expense processing. You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end close activities to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

You will help ensure GAAP compliance, support internal and external audits, and collaborate across finance functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 4–6 years of related accounting experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Deltek Costpoint required
• Experience with government contracting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and lookups

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and related configurations.
• Ensure transactions comply with GAAP, FAR, CAS and EY policies.
• Review journal entry requests with supporting documentation.
• Prepare journal entries and schedules by deadlines.
• Maintain audit-ready journal entry documentation.
• Perform reconciliations for balance sheets and income statements.
• Close subperiods, month-end, quarter-end and year-end.
• Identify issues and collaborate to resolve accounting matters.
• Support internal/external audits with schedules and documentation.
• Monitor the GL inbox and respond to inquiries.
• Collaborate with finance teams on reconciliations and issues.
• Participate in testing and implementation of Costpoint enhancements.
