Job summary

Responsibilities

• Reserves all operating rooms and schedules related equipment and posts patients for procedures.
• Cancels scheduled cases promptly when needed.
• Notifies individuals of changes in surgery dates or times.
• Prepares and reproduces the master operating room schedule and distributes copies.
• Maintains patient admission and surgery records and filing.
• Provides information to physicians’ representatives and staff regarding prerequisites.
• Coordinates with surgeons and departments to schedule procedures and tests.
