Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years directly related experience.
• Experience with medical billing and scheduling in a computerized system.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinates all facets of day-to-day operation of the reception area of the department.
• Maintains multifaceted computerized scheduling and billing system; schedules patient appointments and performs (pre) registration duties.
• Ensures completeness of physician charge sheets and verifies patient insurance information.
• Codes lab requisitions with patient data for proper processing and charging.
• Handles inquiries and provides patient service related to Part A and Part B fees.
