Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC is seeking an Engineering Technician V (Diesels) to provide full-time, onsite support for U.S. Naval shipboard auxiliary equipment at SWRMC in San Diego, CA.

You will work with Navy personnel aboard ships and at regional facilities to troubleshoot, maintain, assess, and train Ship's Force for improved fleet readiness. This role requires a Secret clearance and is contingent upon contract award anticipated in February 2027.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in operation, repair, maintenance and assessment of U.S. Naval Diesel Engines and their support systems.
• Ability to use computers and MS Office for reports and history files.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite support and surge support for Code 264 equipment.
• Perform Diesel Engine inspections and FPAs per applicable references and manuals.
• Provide Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians.
• Analyze inspection data to identify fault sources and recommend corrective actions.
• Report findings to Team Leader and complete required documentation within two days of task completion.
