Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC is seeking an Engineering Technician VI (Diesels) with U.S. Navy shipboard experience for full-time support at SWRMC, San Diego, CA. You will troubleshoot diesel engines, perform inspections, and train Ship's Force to improve fleet readiness, supporting Navy Pacific Fleet operations.

The role involves on-site work at SWRMC, travel up to 10%, and requires a SECRET clearance. A strong background in Diesel Engine systems and hands-on maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least ten years of relevant experience operating, repairing, maintaining, and assessing U.S. Naval Diesel Engines and related systems.
• Ability to use computers including the Microsoft Office Suite for reports and history files.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite support and surge support for Code 264 equipment.
• Perform and document Diesel Engine inspections and FPAs per references and Navy handbooks.
• Conduct assessments, inspections and groom equipment condition; witness operations with ship's force.
• Provide Onboard Maintenance Training to Ship's Force technicians.
• Analyze inspection data to identify faults and determine corrective actions.
• Report findings to Team Leader via MAF/TAAS/ETC within two working days.
