Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC seeks an Engineering Technician VI (Diesels) to deliver on-site, full-time support for Navy diesel engines at SWRMC, San Diego. You will troubleshoot, inspect, and assess shipboard systems aboard Navy assets in SWRMC’s AOR, training Ship’s Force and ensuring readiness.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years’ naval diesel experience, security clearance readiness, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 10+ years of naval diesel engine operation, maintenance, and assessment experience.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite for compiling reports and history files.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite and surge support for Code 264 equipment.
• Perform Diesel Engine inspections, FPAs, and ready-to-start inspections per navy references.
• Conduct assessments and grooms to determine equipment condition and adjust as needed.
• Provide Onboard Maintenance Training to Ship’s Force technicians.
• Analyze inspection data and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Report findings via MAF/Prisms/ETC TAAS-Info and TAVR within two days.
