Job summary

Supply Chain Management Inc.1.com (SCMI1) seeks an Engineering Technician VI (Mechanical focus - Gas Turbine Technician) to support SERMC, providing HM&E engineering and technical support on U.S. Naval Ships in port and underway at U.S. Naval facilities.

The role requires 3 years journeyman mechanical/electrical experience, leadership of technicians, and a current Marine Gas Turbine Inspector certification; U.S. citizenship with background checks is required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of journeyman level experience in mechanical/electrical disciplines within the last 5 years.
• Independently or leading a team troubleshooting, repairing or testing Navy shipboard equipment/systems.
• Ability to perform formal material condition assessments (TSRA, ICMP, INSURV or similar).
• Communicating findings in official reports.
• Must possess and submit proof of a current Marine Gas Turbine Inspector (MGTI) certification (Navy Enlisted Classification code 4136).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to clear background checks.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, assess, and oversee repairs of Navy shipboard Gas Turbine Engines associated with propulsion and electricity generation.
• Lead or participate in completing material condition assessments of ship systems.
• Document findings and reports in formal records and databases.
