Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a GAAP Compilation Senior Consultant to join our Public Sector group, serving state and local governments across the United States. This role oversees GAAP compilations, reporting, and related procedures for diverse entities.

You will lead staff, build client relationships and contribute to process improvements while upholding high ethical standards and a commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Master’s Degree or other advanced degree desired.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience providing attest services in a professional services firm.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
• Strong communication, public speaking, client service, relationship building, personal development, collaboration, problem solving, initiative and Microsoft Suite skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of U.S. GAAP compilations and reporting, agreed-upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues per professional guidelines including U.S. GAAP.
• Suggest business/process improvements based on client operations and objectives.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver superior client service.
• Supervise and coach staff; evaluate engagements.
• Pursue professional development through trainings and networking.
• Assist with campus recruiting and referrals to the firm.
• Demonstrate teamwork, positive attitude and high ethical standards.
• Travel is limited but may be required.
