Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a GAAP Compilation Senior Consultant to join our Public Sector group, serving state and local governments and related entities across the United States. In this role you will oversee daily GAAP compilations, reporting, and related procedures for diverse government bodies.

You will lead a team, ensure high-quality client service, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree or other advanced degree desired.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience providing attest services in a professional services firm.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB Auditing Standards.
• Demonstrated skills in communication, public speaking, client service, relationship building, personal development, collaboration, problem solving, initiative and adaptability; highly developed Microsoft Suite skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of U.S. GAAP compilations and reporting, agreed-upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues based on professional guidelines including U.S. GAAP.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations and objectives.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior service.
• Supervise and lead staff through guidance and coaching; evaluate engagement performance.
• Invest in professional development through training sessions and networking events.
• Assist with recruiting activities, including campus recruiting and referrals.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork, positive attitude and high ethical standards.
• Travel is limited but may be required.
