Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a GAAP Compilation Senior Consultant to join our Public Sector practice, serving state and local governments and related entities across the United States.

The role oversees daily GAAP compilations, reporting, and related projects, while guiding staff and building client relationships. A CPA is preferred, with at least five years of attest services experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; Master’s or advanced degree desired.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of attest services experience in a professional services firm.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB Auditing Standards.
• Strong communication, public speaking, client service, relationship-building and problem solving; proficient Microsoft Suite skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day U.S. GAAP compilations, reporting, agreed-upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues per professional guidelines.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients to deliver superior service.
• Supervise staff through coaching; evaluate performance on engagements.
• Participate in training, networking, and recruitment activities.
• Demonstrate teamwork, ethics, and positive attitude; uphold high standards.
• Travel is limited but may be required.
