Job summary

Baker Tilly US, LLP is seeking a GAAP Compilation Senior Consultant to join the Public Sector group, serving state and local governments across the United States. You will oversee GAAP compilations, reporting, and related procedures, ensuring adherence to GAAS and PCAOB standards.

You will lead staff, develop client relationships, and contribute to recruiting and professional development. Travel is limited, with a primary on-site role in the public sector practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• Minimum five years of attest services experience in a professional services firm.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS and PCAOB Auditing Standards.
• Excellent communication, public speaking, client service and relationship-building skills; initiative and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of U.S. GAAP compilations and reporting, agreed-upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues per GAAP and professional guidelines.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with clients to deliver superior service.
• Supervise and lead staff; evaluate performance on engagements.
• Invest in professional development through training and networking.
• Assist with recruiting; participate in campus recruiting and referrals.
• Demonstrate high ethical standards and teamwork.
• Travel is limited but may be required.
