Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst for a 100% remote US-based role. The candidate will lead requirements capture for software development, work with business users and IT to document needs, and manage these requirements within ALM tools and JIRA. Federal experience and a Public Trust (MBI) clearance are highly desirable.

The position requires a Master’s in Engineering or related field, 10 years of professional experience, and strong SAFe/Agile capabilities. U.S.

Strong background in software development and SAFe methodologies.
Excellent oral and written communication with ability to explain complex topics to diverse audiences.
Advanced attention to detail, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in independent research to resolve complex questions.

Responsibilities

Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
Collaborate with business users, IT, and leadership to document requirements in an ALM tool.
Manage requirements in an ALM tool and perform Agile requirement management for a product team.
Lead user interviews and facilitate sessions to develop business process models and specifications.
Create, decompose, and prioritize user stories and acceptance criteria; use JIRA for requirements, testing, and defects.
