Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is hiring a Senior Functional Analyst for a 100% remote role within the Veterans Affairs portfolio. You will lead requirements capture for software development, coordinate with IT and business stakeholders, and manage backlogs in an ALM tool using SAFe practices.

Strong communication and deep SAFe experience are essential. The role requires a Master’s degree in Engineering or related field, 10 years of professional experience, and eligibility for Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

Strong background in software development and SAFe methodologies.
Excellent oral and written communication with non-technical audiences.
Advanced MS Office and Excel skills.
Experience in large, Agile software development or data integration projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
Collaborate with business users, IT, and leadership to document requirements in an ALM tool.
Manage requirements in an ALM tool and perform Agile requirement management.
Conduct user interviews and develop business process models and formal specifications.
Use an ALM tool (JIRA) for requirements, testing, and defect management.
Perform backlog refinement and coordinate with Systems Engineers on impacts.
Develop and maintain project/product backlogs and change control artifacts.
Provide project status and metrics across the SAFe lifecycle.
