Scribd, Inc. is seeking a senior full-stack developer to shape the core reading experience used by 10M+ daily readers.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, and AI/ML teams to prototype experiments and launch features that boost engagement and comprehension on the document reading page. You will migrate front-end surfaces to Next.js, build GraphQL APIs, and create services in Node, Python, and Go while upholding performance, accessibility, and SEO.

Qualifications

• Experience building production systems across the stack using React and Next.js or Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with maintaining services in a cloud environment and monitoring health.
• Understanding of performance, accessibility, and SEO.
• Collaborative mindset in cross-functional teams.
• Commitment to clean, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Help migrate frontend surfaces from a Ruby-on-Rails monolith to a microfrontend.
• Collaborate with Data/ML and Content Pipeline teams to build features and improve ingestion infra.
• Create new GraphQL APIs.
• Build services in Node, Python, Go.
• Collaborate with Design and PM.
• Contribute to a shared design system.
• Improve frontend infrastructure.
