Job summary

Scribd, Inc. is seeking a senior frontend/backend engineer to drive the migration of the core reading experience toward a modular microfrontend architecture, leveraging Next.js and modern tooling.

You will collaborate with product, design, AI/ML, and infrastructure teams to ship scalable features that improve engagement and discoverability across Scribd’s docs and reader experiences. You will help build GraphQL APIs, create services in Node/Python/Go, and contribute to a shared design system

Qualifications

6+ years of full‑stack development experience on production systems.
Experience migrating monoliths to modular microfrontends with Next.js/React.
Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and modern web services.

Responsibilities

Migrate frontend surfaces from a Ruby-on-Rails monolith to a microfrontend architecture.
Collaborate with Data/ML, Content Pipeline, Design, and PM to ship features.
Create GraphQL APIs and build services in Node, Python, and Go.
Contribute to a shared design system and improve frontend infrastructure.
