Job summary

Scribd, Inc. is seeking an experienced full-stack engineer to drive the next generation of our core reading experience.

You will collaborate with product, design, AI/ML and infrastructure teams to prototype and ship features that elevate engagement and comprehension on the document reading page. You will lead migration of the frontend to a modern microfrontend architecture and build services in Node/Python/Go, while collaborating to improve search, SEO, and tooling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-stack development experience with Ruby on Rails and React.
• Experience shipping production systems across the stack.
• Familiar with cloud environments, monitoring and incident response.
• Strong focus on performance, accessibility and SEO.
• Collaborative mindset across Design, Product, AI/ML and Infra.

Responsibilities

• Migrate frontend surfaces from a Ruby-on-Rails monolith to a microfrontend.
• Collaborate with Data/ML and Content Pipeline to build features.
• Create new GraphQL APIs.
• Build new services in Node, Python, Go.
• Collaborate with Design and PM.
• Contribute to a shared design system.
• Improve frontend infrastructure.
