Scribd, Inc. is seeking a senior full‑stack engineer to help modernize our core reading experiences and experiment at the intersection of product and AI.

You will work across Ruby on Rails, React, and Next.js to ship features that empower 10M+ daily readers and 300,000+ document corpus users. You will collaborate with Product, Design, AI/ML, and Infrastructure to deliver high‑quality, scalable features while contributing to a modular microfrontend architecture.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-stack development experience using Ruby on Rails and React.
• Familiarity with maintaining services in a cloud environment and monitoring/incident response.
• Understanding of performance, accessibility, and SEO to build fast, inclusive, discoverable experiences.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams including Design, Product, AI/ML, and Infra.
• Commitment to clean, well-documented, maintainable code with high engineering quality.

Responsibilities

• Migrate frontend surfaces from a Ruby-on-Rails monolith to a microfrontend.
• Collaborate with Data/ML and Content Pipeline teams to build features and improve ingestion infrastructure.
• Create new GraphQL APIs and build services in Node, Python, and Go.
• Collaborate with Design and PM to deliver user-centered features.
• Contribute to a shared design system and frontend infrastructure improvements.
