Scribd, Inc. is seeking a senior full-stack developer to shape the core reading experience used by 10M+ daily readers. You will partner with Product, Design and AI/ML to prototype AI-enhanced features and synthesize research into study aids, presentations, and documents.

You will lead migration from a Ruby-on-Rails monolith to a modern microfrontend stack (Next.js) and build GraphQL APIs, plus services in Node, Python, and Go, working with SEO and performance in mind.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-stack development experience with Ruby on Rails and React.
• Experience shipping production systems across the stack.
• Familiarity with cloud services, service health monitoring and incident response.
• Strong emphasis on performance, accessibility, and SEO.

Responsibilities

• Migrate frontend surfaces from a Ruby-on-Rails monolith to a microfrontend.
• Collaborate with Data/ML and Content Pipeline teams to build features.
• Create new GraphQL APIs and build services in Node, Python, and Go.
• Work with Design and PM to deliver high-quality features.
• Contribute to a shared design system and frontend infrastructure.
